On the farms Doornfontein and Putpan (North Western Province), Golden and Red/ Royal Oryx are bred.

Emphasis is placed on a deep red and deep gold color, with exceptional horns on both color variations.

Only superior animals were selected since 2011 from Namibia, all animals imported from Namibia were selected for their long horns.

Animals are individually selected, tranquilized and measured before they are added to a different breading herd.

Our Oryx originate from Maltahohe, Solitaire, Okahandja and Bloukop (adjacent to the Kalahari Gemsbokpan - Aranos area) and Mata Mata. The above Oryx from the Bloukop Farm have the best average horn length of any herds so far encountered.

Several Rowland Ward Trophy Oryx, among the top 10 best Oryx are recorded coming from this herd.

Recently we have also acquired animals from the famous Mr. Koos du Plessis of De Aar, which is managed in a joint venture, these animals are of exceptional quality and horn length.
